Summer....is it flyin', or is it just me?
Oh my!!! Where has the summer gone? Seems like just a few weeks ago, my son was celebrating his last days as a 2nd grader and in a mere few weeks, he'll be a 3rd grader!!! My little boy is growing up SO fast! I feel like if I blink, he'll be graduating college. lol! We took a little vacation down to San Diego this summer and had a blast! Went to the beach, some museums, & Legoland {his second time}.
And finally.....I've posted brand new paintings in the web shop! Woo hoo!!! I didn't think I'd manage to do it before summer was over and Aiden was back in school, quite honestly. Seemed that there was always something coming up that distracted me.....but this weekend {yesterday during the sermon at church to be exact} I made up my mind that this was the week and by golly I did it! There are already three new paintings in the shop as we speak, with more to be posted every day this week {Tuesday-Friday}. There will be something in every price range {from $65-$350}. painting+family is keeping me super busy this summer...with little time for much else.
on the plus side, i have bunches of paintings that will be ready to make their debut soon....lots of abstracts {several of the ones below have actually progressed even further now, but i don't have any new pics of 'em loaded on the 'puter yet}!

The aftermath...
of wrapping teacher gifts tonight. Of course we managed to wait til the last minute to get anything and now I'm up past midnight 'cause I got a crazy notion to wrap them all cute and artsy-craftsy. What was I thinking??? Lol! Pics tomorrow ...G'nite y'all! xoxo
A lovely Saturday
Today started out with working a bit on the painting above....looking for imagery in the background and pulling it out with some sketching. Then, Aiden had his very first visit to the eye doctor...which went pretty well. Next, a super yummy lunch from Whole Foods Market. After that, I attacked the our seriously neglected home while the hubby watched the "Civil War" game...well the downstairs...and did some much overdue cleaning...saving the de-cluttering for another day. The day ended with nice supper out with family and a trip to Trader Joe's. Here's hoping for a lovely Sunday too!!! Can't wait to get to church in the morning! With all the sickies that were going around our house, we haven't gotten there the past couple weeks and I'm soooooo missin' it!! Hope y'all are having a fab weekend!!! xoxo
